Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of StealthLedger. The short version: StealthLedger is an encrypted portfolio tracker, not a wallet and not financial advice. Your data is encrypted on your device before it leaves it, and the operator cannot decrypt it. The service is free today.

Operator: AI Solutions Website: stealthledger.net Governing law: New South Wales, Australia Effective: 2 September 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using StealthLedger (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service (these "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and AI Solutions ("StealthLedger", "we", or "us").

2. What StealthLedger is, and is not

StealthLedger is a privacy-focused application that lets you track the balance and holdings of cryptocurrency wallet addresses you choose to enter, and store notes about your portfolio, inside an end-to-end encrypted vault.

StealthLedger is not:

  • A cryptocurrency wallet. StealthLedger cannot send, receive, swap, stake, or move funds. It does not hold private keys that can spend your assets, and it is not a custodian of any digital asset.
  • Financial, investment, tax, or trading advice. Balances, prices, and charts are informational only. Nothing on or through the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
  • A bank, money transmitter, exchange, or regulated financial institution. The Service does not facilitate payments or the transfer of value.
The core promise: your vault is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before it is sent to our servers. We store only the encrypted envelope. We do not have, and cannot derive, the key that decrypts your data. If you lose your passphrase and recovery materials, we cannot recover your data for you.

3. Your account and your responsibilities

You create an account with a username and a passphrase of your choosing. You are responsible for keeping your passphrase, your 25 character recovery code, and your 12 word recovery phrase secure. These are the only ways to decrypt your vault. Treat them as you would the key to a safe.

  • Keep your passphrase and recovery materials secret and backed up offline.
  • Do not reuse your StealthLedger passphrase elsewhere.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).

Because we cannot decrypt your vault, we also cannot reset your passphrase, email you a reset link, or recover your data if you lose access to your credentials. This is a deliberate security trade-off, not an oversight.

4. Encryption and no backdoor

The Service uses client-side cryptography: a content key is derived and used to encrypt your data in your browser or app before transmission. The content key is wrapped under a key derived from your passphrase using scrypt (N = 65536, r = 8, p = 1). The server stores only ciphertext.

We do not maintain, and will not build, any mechanism to decrypt user vaults without the user's passphrase. There is no master key, no key escrow, and no law-enforcement backdoor in the design. The cryptography is documented and verifiable in the published source.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to access, decrypt, or compromise another user's vault or data.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise probe the Service for vulnerabilities in a manner that harms other users (responsible disclosure is welcomed; see the Security page).
  • Interfere with, overload, or disable the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to store material that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

6. Intellectual property

We retain rights to the StealthLedger software, branding, and the Service itself. You retain all rights to your data. Your encrypted vault is yours. The cryptographic design and source code are published; where applicable, they are released under their respective open-source licences.

7. Free service and future paid features

The Service is provided free of charge at this time. We may, in the future, introduce optional paid features or a paid tier. Any paid features will be clearly disclosed before you are charged, and the then-current terms governing paid features (including price, billing, and cancellation) will apply only if you choose to subscribe. No payment is requested or processed by the Service today.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that balances, prices, or market data are accurate, current, or suitable for any purpose. Cryptocurrency markets are volatile; data shown in the Service may be delayed or incorrect. You should verify any information before acting on it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will StealthLedger be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Because we cannot decrypt your data, we cannot be responsible for loss of access to your vault resulting from your loss of a passphrase or recovery materials. You bear sole responsibility for backing up your credentials.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or, if you have paid nothing, to one hundred Australian dollars (AUD $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StealthLedger from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or where required by law. On termination, your encrypted vault remains stored only until you request deletion; you may export and delete your data at any time from within the Service.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service.

Before any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us in writing (see Contact below) and allow us a reasonable opportunity to respond.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will indicate the new effective date at the top of this page and, where practical, notify active users within the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
